Greek pension system for workers - IKA The
IKA (Idrima Kinonikon Asfaliseon) is the largest insurance carriers in Greece. The pension reform of 2008, the following previously incorporated independent insurance carriers in the IKA:

- TSP-ISAP (railway),
- TSPETE (National Bank),
- TSPTEK (Bank of Greece) &
- THE YAP-(Electric).

The Greek disability pension has three stages:
- more than 50%, but incapacitated for less than 67% = pension for partial disability.
- more than 67%, but incapacitated for less than 80% = disability pension because habitual.

Please be sure that the Greek disability rating is not comparable to the German degree of disability. Also they do not meet the medical requirements for a German pension for disability. The disability must exist in Greece for at least a year. It is also of irrelevant whether this is a permanent or temporary disability.
