degree of disability in spinal cord injury-VersMedV-
The degree of disability resulting from spinal damage to the magnitude of restraint; the deformation and instability as well as the number of affected segments (functional effect).
GdB 0 for spinal injury without restricting movement or instability.
GdB 10 with low functional effects.
GdB 20 with moderate functional effects in a spinal segment.
GdB 30 in severe functional effects in a spinal segment.
GdB 30-40 with moderate to severe effects in two vertebral segments.
GdB 50 -70 very serious effects (eg partial Stiffening, severe scoliosis).
GdB 80-100 under the heaviest load to failure for the inability to walk and stand.
Sustained dysfunction due to nerve root compression with motor deficits, or even periodic disturbances in the spinal canal and affect the internal organs (eg respiratory failure) are taken into consideration.
In the case of exceptional pain syndromes without detectable neurological deficits, a degree of disability of over 30 are considered.
