Fable 2 Fairfax Garden Houses
volunteer peace service
So, I will now begin in order to present my project.
I will spend a year in August '10 from Argentina.
More specifically, in the - on the Atlantic coast past - resort of Mar del Plata.
Here I am a volunteer peace service, So make a civilian service abroad. All this runs through the Evangelical Church in Rhineland. In Mar del Plata
I have two community service agencies. First, I work four hours a day in a soup kitchen in a poor neighborhood. There I will be the only man, and especially perform physically demanding work. Second, I work four hours a day in a day care center called "Club de Ninos". Here I will look after the children, and some even offer courses. "Can the English at all?", You might ask. No. Can not he. But for that he has now almost three months. So get right back after graduation. But not this time for school, but for the Life. In Mar del Plata
I will live with two other volunteers in a house. One volunteer, Tessa, I know already learned. The second, I'll get to know the spot. The city is a tourist destination in Argentina. Apparently there is even the longest and most popular beach in South America. Nevertheless, there are a lot of poverty and large slums. I'm going to live 20 minutes from the city center.
This is what the whole of the theory. But these were only the first rough benchmarks.
I'm totally curious how it is, and really looking forward to my year abroad. :-) Jakob

big wide world
Hello friends, relatives, supporters, interested!
Welcome our blog "big wide world." Here you can read how we - Julia, Samantha, Nina, Manu, Raoul, and Jacob - was made during our stay abroad. We tell you what we are doing and then report on our experiences. The blog is currently still in its formative stages. Soon it looks here but definitely different.
Greetings, Jakob
